As a busy executive, l was looking for a place where l could work and be comfortable. The space met all of my expectations!

We really enjoyed our stay! The space was peaceful and provided just the right amount of room for my husband, our 12-year-old daughter, and me. The rooftop patio was especially relaxing- a perfect spot to unwind. The neighborhood felt very safe, and overall we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Stephen's apartment/loft was a nice, central spot in downtown Roanoke-perfect location for our long-weekend visit. Took grandson to Mill Mountain Zoo, Virginia Transportation Museum, and down to the Historic Market (disappointed in the Market as it is now compared to what it was years back tho). Lots of downtown restaurant options and Blue Ridge Parkway access is not far (via Mill Mountain). Campbell Avenue location was central to where I traveled to visit ancestral homes - easy navigation to/from as it's close to 581. While various business venues observed the nightly noise curfew, most vehicular traffic did not (during the weekend) so future guests might want to be prepared for extra external night noise. The loft/apartment was comfortable and clean, and Stephen's house rules/directions, etc. were clear and easy to follow - he was very responsive to any/all questions/inquiries and we would definitely consider enjoying this location on a future trip to Roanoke.

I stayed for an extended period of time (18 nights). I enjoyed my stay--great location, comfy and clean apartment, good mattress, and such a great patio to enjoy nice days on. Stephen was a great host--very responsive and communicative. There was a bit of an ant situation when I arrived and Stephen made sure I had what I needed to deal with the little buggers. I also really appreciated the off-street parking right at the building! Stephen's directions/videos were super helpful in getting all the information I needed to stay at the apartment. Highly recommend and would stay again!

We loved our stay in the loft! Overall quiet and very cozy; the bed was to die for. I was a little worried about the parking but the lot right next to the building and the YouTube video helped a lot, and we had no issues parking whatsoever.

A quick stop to sleep, to break up a long drive. Stephen was quick to respond and friendly . His place was well stocked , clean and comfortable, would recommend.

My husband & I always travel for Valentines so to find this was great getaway from Hampton Roads. Parking off street in a designated area was a plus for us, the rooftop had a great view of the Roanoke Star & mountains. The loft was quiet, the bed was very comfortable. It felt like home. So much in walking distance, uber didn’t cost much (in the rain a few times), I def want to return with my boys. Stephen was a great host! Can’t wait to do business again.

I came for work, so it was really nice to have a spacious yet inviting and comfy place to chill at the end of the day. The location was great; I took walks around the area and it was close to many things including restaurants and scenic views. It's right across the street from an animal shelter, so it was lovely to see all the dogs being walked as I missed my two. The apartment is spacious (great loft ceiling), the king bed is SUPER comfy, and the bathroom is inviting and clean. I stayed for 10 days, so having a washer/dryer was really useful! The rooftop deck was really pleasant as well. A main attraction for me was the off-street parking in the lot right next to the building. I didn't have to find street parking as it was usually hard to come by, so that was great. Stephen's YouTube video explaining the parking situation was very helpful too. If I come visit for fun, I'd definitely stay here again, and I'd bring one of my dogs as it's pet-friendly, an added bonus! Thanks, Stephen!

Truly one of the best experiences we have had. Place was immaculately clean and fully loaded, with a great vibe and location. Extremely walkable to the city center, great restaurants and many other amenities. Parking was great and allowed us to leave our car and walk and not pay for city parking. Host was great and process was very easy and extremely clear. One added perk we found was an awesome animal shelter across the street. Being able to see a parade of adorable pets if you stood at the windows in the glass block was our favorite downtime activity. It was nice and quiet at night and we were really happy with our choice.

The apartment was pristine and looked exactly like the pictures, including very modern up-to-date appliances and fixtures. I utilized the kitchen for meal and Tailgate prep and it had everything I needed. Also appreciate the tech multi chargers being available. The price was fair and I will definitely book again.

I loved sitting on the couch next to the tree lamp, reading and watching the lightening flashes through the window. I needed a place that was relaxing and peaceful and this lovely loft was perfect. The bed was more comfortable than my own at home! Stephen was always quick to respond if I had a question. I had a lovely time and look forward to another visit in the future.

This place was conveniently located to restaurants and breweries. The bed and sofa couch were comfy and the coffee and snacks were appreciated. The rooftop was a cool feature. We had an awesome stay!

Definitely the perfect place to stay when visiting Roanoke. The loft is amazing: great location, ample parking options, well appointed, and amazing views. Stephen had everything set up and taken care of. Easy check in instructions and he was always very responsive with any questions I had while we were there. The loft really felt like home, so much so that we are looking for something similar close by for when we move to Roanoke. You can walk to several breweries and restaurants that are only minutes away, and downtown is still less than a 15 minute walk. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

I love this place because I was in the heart of the city which put me close to everywhere I needed to go. And there were a lot of places that were in walking distance. I loved the view from the rooftop at night! It was a gem in the city! The host was amazing! Very friendly and attentive. He checked on me and even when I had questions…he responded immediately! The only I suggest to anyone looking to rent… If you are a light sleeper or don’t like city life, this wouldn’t be the place for you…but if a little noise doesn’t bother you…It will be perfect!! I will definitely stay here again. 💛 Absolutely loved it

The apartment is a great space for one or two people. I felt good walking into downtown, mostly thanks to a city police station and couthouse right in the middle of the walk. The space was well stocked and very nice for the price. Would use again if visiting downtown Roanoke in the future!

If you ever need a place to stay in Roanoke. Stephen's place is it! The place was better than the other Aribnb's I've experienced, globally. The place definitely has a "biking" character to it, which I loved as a transportation engineer promoting more multimodal travel behaviors. The bed was super comfortable and now I regert not checking what kind of mattress was there. Additionally, the place comes with a washer/dryer, in case your clothes get dirty on the hike. It also comes with a ton of cleaning supplies which I loved, as someone who likes to keep a tidy place. You cannot go wrong booking this place. It's cheaper than a night in a 5-star hotel, but way better and you have more flexibility, a kitchen, large bathroom and way more living room. It's a 10 min walk from Downtown Roanoke which has many eating options and the Food Coop if you need any other food/drinks.

Walking distance to downtown (long-ish walk, but do-able). Very convenient location for the purposes of our visit. Well-equipped kitchen. Parking somewhat a bother, but was able to park on street most of the time. Good value for the money.

Great space to stay, location was fun for us to experience a little city, a little family and get to some trails in no time. Would have spent more time on the deck if stayed longer, and the rest of the place was cozy and nice for us to come back to.

The convenience to downtown Roanoke and easy access to nearby parks and restaurants is a major plus to this location. It's only a few minutes drive to the Roanoke River walk which has been recently extended towards Salem, there's still more to be built. The murals on the wall of the AirBNB loft had a bicycle theme with matching decor. Overall it felt really homely and soothing. The view of Mill Mountain is sweet as well.

Comfortable bed. Everything was very clean. We walked for five minutes and had dinner at a fun brewery. Would stay again!

When we first stumbled upon this rooftop loft on AirBnB, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Stephen is the most thoughtful, gracious host. He provided us with all the information we needed. The loft is just perfect! Kitchen is beautiful and contains everything one needs. The bed is very comfortable, bathroom and rooftop terrace are excellent. Location is incredible. He went way beyond to make our long-weekend comfortable and memorable. I have stayed here before and I highly recommend. It's one the nicest AirBnBs that I have stayed at. It's right in the heart of downtown and super easy to find. The rooftop lounge is fantastic and great for relaxing.

This apartment was perfect for what we needed. We visited for a mini vacation and to do some hiking. The area around the apartment has plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. One of our biggest decisions we had to make, was where to eat. There were so many choices. The bed was extremely comfortable. I usually don’t sleep well in other places. This bed was definitely an exception. The apartment was clean and Stephen was very responsive when I asked any questions. Parking wasn’t an issue. The first night we used the garage ($8) for overnight parking. The rest of the time (since it was after 5 on a Friday) we got street parking right In front of the door. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice space … walking distance to downtown and to the YMCA. Only downside is the TV is small. As some who watches a lot of sports, a bigger screen tv and a more comfortable sofa would be great improvements . But overall was a 5 star experience. I have stayed in a lot of airbnbs in Roanoke, this was my favorite.

Came for a short birthday stay and absolutely LOVED the place! Very spacious, the Mountain views were gorgeous to wake up to, comfy bed and couch, central to pretty much anywhere we wanted to go, with a lovely huge rooftop deck. Third time that we have stayed at Stephen's place. Good location close to downtown restaurants and entertainment, walkable if you'd like and weather permits. Stephen is a great host, very responsive and continues to make small improvements to the unit.

Great location, very quiet and clean.

The condo appears fairly new and is in great shape. It is well designed and furnished -- very livable for a couple for a few days. The location is urban so there is some street and business activity and noise, but nothing excessive. It quieted down pretty early at night. Easy to get in and out, parking was no problem, felt very safe. Walkable to downtown shops and restaurants, about 5 minutes. A good value, we would definitely stay there again.

The apartment is spacious and was very clean. Was easy for us to find parking right in front. We didn’t use the kitchen much to cook as we ate out but it was well stocked with pans/utensils if needed. There is a great outdoor space/deck we didn’t utilize due to season/weather but I think would be great to try. No issues came up for us but Stephen was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again.

We loved staying right downtown. The apartment was so clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed being able to walk or drive to everything downtown. Even though we were downtown it didn’t feel like a busy street. Nighttime was quiet and we all slept well. We appreciated having all the comforts of home! Would definitely stay again.

Stephen was very responsive and prompt whenever I had any questions. The rental provided everything you need and then some. We were incredibly happy with our stay and will definitely look at staying here again if we are in the area.

My best friend and I did a last minute trip to Roanoke and stayed here. It was perfect for us! It is a one bedroom but very spacious. I have a thing for mountains and you have Mountain View’s from the front and back! You can see the Roanoke start from the back windows. It was cold so we didn’t use it but the rooftop part looked really nice for cookouts and a beer at night. There were even snacks for us! Plenty of shampoo and condition in the shower. Very comfy bed and couch. He was very which to respond and be helpful. I would 100% stay here again. The parking deck is the best bet for parking and it takes minutes to get to bars/restaurants. So glad we chose this spot and will be back.

During extreme cold snap in Roanoke, the apartment didn't lose power or water. We did have frost buildup on windows but there were plenty of warm blankets. Central location was nice but close parking was not guaranteed. Kitchen well equipped!!

The apartment was exactly as pictured. Spacious and modern with high ceilings and a feeling of privacy. TV was easy to operate and kitchen had everything we needed. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. Downtown Roanoke is an easy 5-minute walk from the apartment. Loved the rooftop deck and view of the Star on Mill Mountain!

Great value for the space. I’ve stayed here before and will again if needed. It wasn’t as spotless as other Airbnbs, but very clean. The area it’s located in is starting to get a bit questionable at night. I never felt unsafe, but wouldn’t want my female guest outside alone after dark.
